There are many activities this evening for YAPC participants (and friends) to attend.
The last event (Guest Keynote Charlie Stross) will be over at 6:00 PM. Everyone is on their own for Dinner if they choose, though there will be food served later tonight.
At 7:00 PM, Game Night will be on Floor 2 where dinner was served last night. Fajitas, including a vegan option will be available.
At 10:00 PM, The Bad Movie Night BOF will meet at a location TBD. Those interested can gather by the elevators on floor 2. If you’re late, try #yapc or the mailing list to find out where the event is meeting.
We are also working on the internet issue it’s mostly an AT&T problem and they are proving difficult to work with. #damnitstevan
All conference attendees are on their own for lunch.
This is a forward from The Double Tree Hotel Restaurant:
As you know, the YAPC group has no planned lunch event today. We have
been informed by our main meeting planner clients that most attendees
will want to venture off property during lunch to get something local
and / or familiar.
Still, that could potentially leave a number of attendees who prefer
to stay at our hotel during lunch. For these folks, we will be setting
up a Healthy and Hearty Lunch Buffet in our restaurant’s dining room.
Today’s menu will include:
- A wide assortment of fresh salad bar items.
- Chef’s soup of the day
- London Broil
- Penne Marinara
- Green Beans
- Mashed Potatoes
- Chef’s Dessert Table
- Soft Drinks.
The price is $12.95.
Our restaurant seats no more than 80 guests.
We would love to see you later 🙂
Perl programmers unite! We’ve taken over the bar at the Smiling Bison 3 miles from the Double Tree (don’t let the hotel shuttle lie to you!)
Due to Untimely Illness, Curtis “Ovid” Poe will not be able to attend YAPC or teach the training course on Sunday. We are working with Crowd Tilt to provide a refund.
John “genehack” Anderson will be doing an impromptu discussion about testing at 2:30 in the Osceola room. All are welcome to join.
With 2 days to spare we have a logo! (And blog posts)
