Early Bird Registration Payments extended!

We are extending the $150 Early Bird Registration price by a week. The Early Bird Registration will close after March 7th 2014.

The Early Bird pricing was always intended to reflect the “risk” that attendees make registering and planning before the actual talks are announced. As such the rates were supposed to go up at the end of the accepted talk announcements.

However people might have noticed our rolling acceptances didn’t start rolling until after the deadline. An unfortunate collision of time and work happened to our organizers in charge of the talk acceptances. Additionally one day this week, the application which manages registrations and payments for us was offline for several hours. Fortunately this is an exceedingly rare experience for us, but out of fairness all around, it seemed appropriate to extend registration for this purpose as well.

The combination of these events, and the desire to keep to the meaning of the Early Bird discount, means that we need to push the Early Bird Registration deadline back a week.
